Without the Eucharist there is no Church. The Church cannot be reduced to being just a group of like-minded persons who profess a common ideology or who think that we should somehow be good and lead a good life.

The Church is especially the communion of those who share in prayer, in charity and in the breaking of bread.

It is the place where we grow in the likeness of Jesus as we encounter his saving power present in the Eucharist until the end of time.
