Regia of Rodrigues:
This year has been a blessing. Following pilgrimages, a new praesidium was formed, in the parish of Sainte Thérèse, Curepipe. It comprises 22 members. During the month of June, a procession was held with the Blessed Sacrament for Corpus Christi through the neighbourhoods and parishes, including Mass. The chaplain reminded all to promote the enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in families, through the Virgin Mary. The legionaries went out on their ‘Exploratio Dominicalis’ visits during July. A good number of people were visited and comforted in various regions. The Legion of Mary took part in a Marian Congress on 8 and 9 August, bringing together several movements and groups devoted to the Virgin Mary and working in her service. Three priests, a deacon (who is a legionary), and our Bishop, Mons. Michael Durhône, led the teachings and celebrated Masses.

RWANDA

Senatus of Kigali:
On Monday, 17th August 2026, the Kigali Senatus held its annual meeting of chaplains of the Legion of Mary. The meeting brought together 117 priests, including the chaplains of the two regia, Nyundo and Gikongoro, under the leadership of National Chaplain. Also, chaplains from all dioceses and chaplains of the curiae were present. The participants discussed the daily life of the Legion of Mary throughout the country and the major activities planned for the coming days. They were pleased to note that, overall, the Legion is thriving. Meetings and apostolic activities are well-organized. The curiae celebrated the Acies and also organized training sessions for members. Among the challenges faced are the expansion of Kigali and other cities, which has led to the displacement of some residents, including members. This has resulted in a decrease in the number of members and, in some units, a shortage of officers. The closure of some parishes has also negatively impacted attendance at praesidia and council meetings.

MOROCCO
