DUBLIN NORTHSIDE CURIAE
Exaltata Curia
A praesidium’s main works include volunteering in the hostel and street contact where legionaries encounter many African Protestants whom they invite to consider the Catholic Catholic faith. Another praesidium’s main work is home visitation, which is done twice a week. Legionaries meet many lapsed and disinterested Catholics who only attend Church for baptisms, weddings and funerals. At this time of year, they meet quite a few people who are attending only for the few weeks while their children are preparing for First Holy Communion or Confirmation. They distribute Miraculous Medals and prayer leaflets, and they invite each person they meet to return to Sunday Mass. Many are surprised by the directness of this approach, but even if they are not practicing, they are thankful for the invitation. A member helps a parishioner read the Bible. Curia April Recruitment Drive was held recently after the 4:00 p.m. Brazilian Mass in Church St. Contacts are being followed up.
Presentata Curia
Traditional Irish music night in March was well attended. Curia organised the annual Mass for Venerable Edel Quinn in St. Saviour’s Church on Saturday 9 May and annual retreat on Good Friday. The junior praesidium is carrying out weekly visitation to a nursing home and are planning to start door-to-door visitation with a pilgrim statue of Our Lady. Fifteen (15) legionaries participated in a recruitment drive in St. Peter’s Church, Phibsboro recently. Last two (2) Patricians entitled “St. Patrick” and “Discernment to Surrender” were attended by seven (7) and ten (10) people respectively. A praesidium’s main works include domestic work in the Morning Star Hostel and helping out in the Mens’ Shed. Another praesidium also works in both the hostels and engages in street contact in the city centre every Saturday morning.
Veneranda Curia
Curia is busy planning Frank Duff Commemoration Ceremony in Glasnevin on Saturday 6 June. Twelve people, including two non-legionaries attended the first Frank Duff prayer meeting in March. The new praesidium in Ballygall had an attendance of over thirty (30) people at its first Patricians meeting entitled “Confession”. The recent Call to Arms was a great opportunity to meet other legionaries from north Dublin and to hear about the different works being done. A suggestion to hold Ballygall and Finglas type projects as a means of growing the Legion of Mary was well received. Fr. John Hogan’s talk was excellent and everyone enjoyed Br. Erik Sopon’s Litany to Our Lady, composed of the titles of the praesidia in attendance on the day.
Porta Coeli Curia
Following promotion of the Legion of Mary at weekend Masses in Raheny, the first meeting of the re-established Our Lady of Cana praesidium was held last Monday, 11 May. Six (6) visitors, four (4) legionaries and Fr. Jim Sheeran attended.
Bethlehem Curia
Curia is continuing its monthly street contact in Mountjoy Square. Frank Duff prayer meeting is planned and eleven (11) attended the Venerable Edel Quinn promoters meeting in March. A praesidium with five (5) full members main work is home visitation, where fifty (50) Maria Legionis journals are distributed each quarter. A lady, met recently on home visitation, along with her two (2) children has been received into the Catholic Church, and another lady is interested in joining. The praesidium also has a weekly outreach to the Latino community whom they meet at the weekly Spanish Mass in Dominick Street.
Consolata Curia
Curia outreach took place in Malahide recently and further curia street contact is planned for Rush in May and Donabate in June. Following a recruitment drive in Lusk two months ago, a new praesidium has been established. A praesidium with six (6) full members and four (4) probationers reported home visitation to six hundred (600) homes in the parish which included handing out one hundred and seventy prayer packs, promoting the Young Adult’s Conference and inviting parishioners to membership, the Frank Duff prayer meeting and the Patricians. Members also run the Church Repository, at weekend Masses, where there is a good supply of religious items including sacramentals. Occasionally, parishioners request prayers for their families. Legionaries meet auxiliaries every week to pray the Rosary and the Legion of Mary prayers. They also run the Faith ‘n’ Fun programme every summer for children. Seven (7) attended the Frank Duff prayer meeting last month. Nine (9) attended the last two Patricians, where the topics were “Who was Sr. Clare Crockett”? and “What is prayer? Why and how to pray.”
Queen of Peace Curia
A praesidium’s principal works continues to include street contact, hostel work, and outreach visits to Cuan Mhuire. On the last visit to Cuan Mhuire the Legion was greeted by a group of twenty- four (24) residents who were happy to receive rosaries and faith cards. A man from South Africa, met on street contact, was baptised and confirmed at St. Saviour's Church on Easter Saturday, with two (2) legionaries serving as godparents and a group of legionaries in attendance to support him. Fr. Dome of the Archdiocese of Bangkok, who attended Concilium in April month attended a praesidium meeting on Divine Mercy Saturday and also participated in street contact. The Curia welcomed two (2) new praesidia: Maria Assumpta praesidium, which has joined from Presentata Curia and also Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception praesidium. Members are joining with a member from Presentata Curia in weekly visits to Mountjoy Prison where there is a real prospect of a praesidium being formed. The curia is planning its next Patrician Meeting, which will take place on 28 May at 8 p.m. in De Montfort House. The guest speaker will be Fr. Bryan Shortall, who will speak on the history of the Capuchin Day Centre. All Welcome.
IRELAND PROVINCIAL REPORT
Carlow Comitium
Visitation of homes, nursing homes and housebound continues in Carnew and Glendale. Members spoke about the Legion of Mary in local churches and on Radio Maria and received very favourable responses for the coffee morning that they organised. The Rosary features in many Legion of Mary activities followed by Eucharistic Adoration. The new praesidium in Ballon is almost established. Several members went on pilgrimage to Knock International Eucharistic and Marian Shrine, Our Lady’s Island, Lourdes and Fatima and visited the homes of Servant of God Frank Duff, and Venerable Alfie Lambe and now Venerable Edel Quinn. Miraculous Medals are given out on the street, at the doors and in schools to pupils preparing to receive the Sacraments in Tullow, Ballyconnell, Ardattin and Shillelagh where they also helped making St. Brigid’s Crosses. Pilgrim Statue visitation will resume when all are vetted. Paulstown maintain a Legion of Mary bookstand in the church. A member in Carlow leads the Rosary on Mary’s Channel of Grace. Permission was given to promote the Legion of Mary in Tullow after the homily at Mass. A second Legion statue has been blessed for the resumption of home visitation. Having most start-up details established and after Easter ceremonies, Our Lady of Fatima praesidium in Kilkenny commenced street contact mainly on Saturdays. The Rosary is prayed in a local nursing home and Miraculous Medals and Legion of Mary leaflets are distributed there.
Tuam Comitium
There is hope for a new praesidium in Athenry after legionaries spoke at all weekend Masses. A meeting was held in St. John’s Centre in Knock with a view to planning share-out of duties at Knock International Eucharistic and Marian Shrine. The praesidium distributed leaflets promoting Rosary at the Grotto and the Pilgrim Statue. Validators have been nominated for Garda vetting. Thirty-nine (39) members attended the Comitium Retreat with four (4) priests hearing Confessions.
Achonry Curia
Kiltimagh praesidium has six (6) members. Their work included bringing Holy Communion to the sick, visiting Youthreach College to explain and distribute Miraculous Medals. St. John Paul Award students are invited to lead the Rosary, reading slowly and clearly and to serve at daily Mass. They made and distributed St. Brigid Crosses and Lenten Crosses to parishioners and filled hundreds of bottles with Holy Water to distribute after Mass. Legionaries promoted the May Rosary, the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and organised Eucharistic Adoration in the local convent preceded by a procession. Killasser provide funeral support and help the priest with the four (4) churches in the Killasser/Kilmovee area. Pupils preparing to receive the Sacramanents received a Legion of Mary prayer pack each.
Killala Curia
At the March meeting there was an excellent discussion on Patrician meetings with the aim of restoring the Ballina and Belmullet meetings. Nine (9) members used the St. Patrick’s Day Parade as an opportunity to distribute Legion of Mary materials and engage in conversation with many appreciative passers-by. Members promote the Children of the Eucharist (COTE) in local primary schools with more and more teachers and pupils interested in getting involved.
Elphin Curia
A recruiting drive across the curia territory is aided by the use of invitation cards, which include contact names and numbers. Legion of Mary posters are displayed in parish churches, encouraged by local priests, particularly in Sligo, Roscommon, Boyle, Elphin and Ballygar. Some legionaries did exceptional work on home visitation for which they were complimented by the hosts. New materials have been purchased to keep up the momentum. Members are preparing for the Acies and for assisting occasionally as part of the rota for Knock International Eucharistic and Marian Shrine.
Galway Curia
The curia has elected a new secretary. The Acies was attended by a good gathering including auxiliaries after notices and flyers were circulated. Some members assisted with a Deus et Patria project in Leitrim. A Legion of Mary stand was placed at the Round Tower Association Conference. Annunciata House is being refurbished with help from the De Montfort Trust. At recent Curia meetings, the importance of trusting in Our Lady and studying the handbook was emphasised. Plans are in place for a visitation project in Tirellan on Wednesdays and Saturdays in May.
Clonfert Curia
The area was particularly badly hit during two (2) months of rain which curtailed activities. Members provide invaluable help organising church activities and cleaning. They are members of Baptism and funeral teams. They hope to resume street and home visitation in Portumna, Loughrea and Ballinasloe. They are aware of the urgent need to recruit new members and discussions on this are ongoing.
Ferns Curia
A new praesidium - Our Lady of Wexford has six (6) members. Works include street contact, development of a junior praesidium and promotion of the Rosary. They distribute Rosary beads and leaflets on the Main Street of Wexford every Saturday afternoon while praying the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet and organise prayer vigils which have resulted in a return to Mass and the sacraments for several in attendance.
EUROPE B
Frankfurt Senatus
In the Regia of Munich and Cologne, legionaries lead European scouting groups, bringing young people closer to God. Faith and Fun activities are organised. Legion of Mary stands are held at public places and pilgrimage sites. A youth praesidium, with a probationary member, has an outreach to Confirmation candidates. Cologne Regia has a high number of auxiliary members. Legionaries assist with sacramental preparation, altar servers, care of the elderly and needy, attending the funerals of those with no family to mourn them. Legion of Mary stands are held at the Christmas Markets and Crib in Dusseldorf. Sacramentals and prayer cards are distributed to the public. A new praesidium in Rodenberg distributes the New Testament and organises seminars to strengthen young families in their faith. Legionaries in Freiburg visit youth hostels. An English speaking praesidium in Heidelberg has begun among the students. Fifteen (15) young people of all nationalities attended the first meeting. Their apostolate is to the students.

KAZAKSTAN
A new praesidium of five (5) members has formed in Wischnjewka.
NORWAY
The Legion in Norway has two (2) Curiae with eighty-four (84) active, eight (8) probationary and two hundred and three (203) auxiliaries. A new praesidium is in formation with eight (8) interested members in Arendal, Southwest Norway. In June, thirty (30) legionaries will attend a Summer School in Dublin; twenty- four (24) from the Curia of Bergen, four (4) from the Curia of Oslo and two (2) from the Comitium of Zurich.
Birmingham Senatus
A praesidium attempted two hundred and thirty- seven (237) home visitations and met with practicing and non-practicing Catholics, people of other Christian denomination, non- Catholics and Atheists. Sixty- eight (68) people came into the Church after the annual Christmas tractor run, having been invited to come light a candle and leave a prayer intention. Another praesidium visited one hundred and forty- four (144) homes. A recruitment drive in Bletchley resulted in twelve (12) new contacts. Two (2) years ago, there was no praesidium in Wolverhampton; now there are ten (10). Works undertaken include children’s Liturgy, Catechism teaching, church cleaning, visitation of the sick, and bring Holy Communion to housebound people. Seven (7) children have now received the Sacrament of Baptism, and their plans are to further extension work into five (5) other parishes. Among works for another praesidium is visiting the sick, crowd contact and homosexual apostolate. A new Curia has now been formed in Cardiff. Two junior schools in Swansea are interested in starting junior praesidia.
Brentwood Regia
A praesidium reports having eight (8) active members and sixty- six (66) auxiliaries, while another has eleven (11) active members and thirty- six (36) auxiliaries. Main works include visiting the housebound, door-to-door distribution of newsletters and Miraculous medals, and catechism teaching. Three (3) new praesidia were established in one Curia, bringing together fifty- one (51) active members and one hundred and seventy- five (175) auxiliaries. One praesidium leaves copies of the Maria Legionis in a box at the back of the church, where parishioners and auxiliaries may take copies home to read. This initiative has proved very popular among parishioners. A praesidium visited one hundred and seven (107) homes of which only four (4) were Catholics and the rest belonging to other faiths. Another praesidium reported visiting a non-Catholic lady who recently passed away. She occasionally attended Mass and travelled to Lourdes. During a later visit, the legionaries met her granddaughter, who expressed her desire to become Catholic. When she was given a Miraculous Medal, she recognised it immediately, saying she had seen one among her grandmother’s belongings. One praesidium organised a successful recruitment drive which resulted in the establishment of two (2) new praesidia, now having met for six (6) and eight (8) weeks respectively. A Comitium reports forty- two (42) praesidia with two hundred and eighty- three (283) active members, thirty- two (32) probationary members, and five hundred and ten (510) auxiliaries, as well as five (5) junior praesidia with forty-nine (49) junior legionaries. Extension work was carried out by one Curia resulted in fifteen (15) parishes being visited within one diocese.
Central London Curia
A new praesidium was established in January with six (6) members. A praesidium’s works include home visitation, hospital visitation, distribution of Rosary and Miraculous Medals and visitation in nursing homes and bringing Holy Communion to the sick. A praesidium gave out over two thousand and eighty- eight (2,088) Miraculous Medals and leaflets between December 2024 and December 2025. A praesidium is involved in preparing candidates for First Holy Communion, and two (2) of the children later joined the junior praesidium and also became altar servers.
Liverpool Senatus
Two (2) new praesidia have been established in the Northeast of England, each with twenty (20) members. Their works include limited home visitation, hospital visitation, visits to the sick and housebound, sheltered accommodation outreach, school visits for teaching and praying the Rosary, crowd contact, and book barrow work. One individual returned to confession and the sacraments after twenty (20) years.
Brussels Regia
A praesidium with seven (7) members carries out street contact. Thirty (30) people were invited to a talk on True Devotion to Mary. Another praesidium with ten (10) members serves the sick and aged. Another praesidium of fourteen (14) active members visit the bereaved and bring the elderly to Mass. A Peregrinatio Pro Christo (PPC) project has been planned for Alsace from 31 May to 7 June.
Amsterdam Regia
Rotterdam curia will receive a Peregrinatio Pro Christo (PPC) team this year from Birmingham. Monseigneur Hendriks, Bishop of Haarlem, was the main concelebrant at the Acies in March. The public Rosary on Dam Square in Amsterdam is thriving. Patrician meetings are also being organised.
Antwerp Regia
There are three (3) praesidia, spread over three (3) dioceses with a total of fifteen (15) active and twenty- three (23) auxiliary members. A new praesidium was set up in February. Works include visits to the sick, elderly and lonely as well as contacts with drug addicts, praying the Rosary in public places, churches and homes for the elderly.
Scotland Senatus
A praesidium with nine (9) active members undertakes crowd contact work, assisted with the junior praesidium and participated with the Christmas crib.
Country under care of Scotland
FINLAND
A group on Peregrinatio Pro Christo (PPC) from Ireland worked in St. Aloysius during Holy week. The praesidium in Finland are carrying out lots of good work.
MEXICO and CENTRAL AMERICA
Mexico city Senatus.
An attached curia based in Jalapa reported 60 adults received the sacrament of Confession and Holy Communion. An attached comitium with only 3 praesidia attached doesn’t need a correspondents because the councils sends an officer to the comitium meeting each month. A suicide was prevented through statue visitation. 26 marriages were regularised, 231returns to the sacraments and a men’s praesidium was started. Seventy seven addicts gave up the drugs. True Devotion to the Nation works included 297 injections, 65 blood pressure reading, hair cuts and picking up rubbish.
Merida Senatus.
During this period 3 praesidia, 2 curiae 4 comitia and one Regia reported. The attached Regia set up 3 new curiae and 13 praesidia. Large numbers returned to the practice of the faith. The 4 comitia have 14, 12, 10 and 5 curiae respectively attached. One comitium reported 4 new praesidia, 6 couples received the Sacrament of Marriage, 12 returned to the practice of the faith. Street contact is carried out by a number of praesidia.
Guadalajara:
The comitium in Guadalajara was recently raised to Senatus with the result the council is trying to re arrange some praesidia and curiae. Some councils did not report to Senatus recently. Two young boys returned to the practice of the faith, one was involved in drugs. A number of women contacted in a sheltered accommodation have started to practice the faith again.
Central America
Costa Rica Senatus:
A curia organises talks for young people and adults. The young people are encouraged in the devotion to Our Blessed Lady and the adults are encouraged to recite the Rosary. A praesidium organised a “Coffee with Mary” direct4ed at the auxiliaries with the hope of encouraging them with the prayers and possibly, some of them might consider active membership. Recruiting at the Diocesan Vocational Festival resulted in many auxiliaries.
Panama Regia:
A number of groups have been set up to prepare for the Junior Marian Congress which will take place in the month of October. Extension continues, each praesidium is assigned to visit a parish and present the Legion to the parish priest and parish communities. The Regia encourages the members to live the True Devotion to Mary with the 33 days consecration. The Regia is planning A Marian congress to take place on 24 October 2026. Prayers are requested for the success of the event.
Honduras Senatus:
Elections have been carried out recently for the four officerships. Resulting from visiting the praesidia and councils the attendance at the Senatus meeting and the participation has improved. A National meeting has been planned for June, they hope for good attendance. The officers hope it will be a very special occasion for the Legion of Mary. Many legionaries took part in the visit to the Shrine of Our Lady of Suyapa on the 2 February.
Dominican Republic
Santo Domingo Senatus
2 praesidia, 2 curiae and 2 Comitia with 624 active members reported. Home visitation and visiting the sick are the main works. An attached curia reported a children’s group who visit the Blessed Sacrament. Reports indicate one officer vacancy only at praesidium level and one at comitium level. A curia which closed except for one praesidium is building up membership and praesidium again.
Santiago de los Caballeros Senatus
Home and hospital visitation and visit to the sick in their homes are the main works carried out. In two homes the couples were prepared for and received the sacrament of marriage. They are also rebuilding a curia which almost closed.
Regia of Nicaragua:
There are 8 curiae, 3 comitia and 47 praesidia attached. Legionaries lead the First Saturday devotions. In some homes they recite the Rosary and some families have had their homes consecrated to the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
ASIA A
Armenia
November and December 2025 minutes. An average of 12 attend the curia meetings. 2 praesidia reported one with 5 active and 3 auxiliary members. They visit the sick and housebound periodically but have found that due to misunderstanding of the Legion of Mary they are finding resistance. The members also conduct catechism classes at which 30 children from the village attend. 5 children were prepared for 1st Communion. The second praesidium has 4 active and 2 auxiliary members. They do weekly bible study, rosary and psalms as well as silent time for prayer – legionaries and parishioners attend. They pray the Rosary with the sick and with prisoners.
Vietnam
February to April 2026 minutes. In this period 4 comitia, 6 curiae and 2 praesidia reported. Between them they arranged Baptism for 192 children and 196 children, 95 people were brought back to practice, 162 marriages were regularised, 212 children were prepared for 1st Communion and 177 adults prepared for Confirmation and 80 abortions were prevented. In that time period, 424 active and 621 auxiliary members were recruited. The reports describe the conditions of the places they visit as well as the difficulties they face.
Lebanon
The former president reported that she and her family are safe, but no word has been received from the new president. Post sent to Lebanon has been returned.
Holy Land
Minutes to December 2025. The comitium president praised the works being done by Galilee, Nativity and Holy Family curiae but no details were provided. At the December meeting 20 attended representing 6 praesidia. A praesidium reported saying that rosaries were recited with 150 people, 53 rosaries in homes of mourning families, with 17 sick people and 15 people in need.
Myanmar
Approximately 100 attend the Senatus meeting. 5 praesidia has 73 active members, the 4 curiae reporting has 440 senior members and 7 junior praesidia has 92 members. All reports recorded visits to hospitals visiting Catholics and non-Catholics, accompanying the priest to sick calls, preparing children and adults for Baptisim, visits to the prison and conducting Enthronement of Homes to the Sacred Heart.
INDIA
Chennai Senatus
Works carried out by legionaries included enthronement of homes to the Sacred Heart, marriage rectifications, hospital, nursing homes and orphanages are visited consoling the destitute. 3,000 legionaries attended the Acies in Khammon diocese because 50 new praesidia were recently formed.
Pondicherry Senatus
Prisons, leprosy homes, catechism is taught, homes enthroned, a new praesidium was set up in a seminary and a number of Frank Duff prayer meetings are held.
Vishakhapatnam Regia
Attendance at senatus meeting is about 50%. Cancer patients, hospitals and orphanages are visited. During Lent the Way of the Cross was conducted, Gospel readings were shared with non-Catholics. A video conference was held with officers of 3 attached distant councils.
Kerala Senatus
Minutes to January 2026. Minutes show efforts to establish new praesidia and revive dormant ones. Membership in attached comitia varies from several hundred to as in Thrissur Comitium to 4,000. The correspondent has encouraged more attention be paid to setting up junior praesidia. One comitium reporting making contact with what they described as ‘outcasts’ and sharing the Faith with them. A legionary kept a night-time vigil at the bedside of a Muslim patient as she had no family members to do so.
Kottar Regia
Minutes to February. 4 curiae have 697 active members while 11 comitia has 17, 836 members. Included among the works carried out is counselling alcoholics and a number contemplating suicide, teaching people to pray, numerous marriages rectified, helping students aiming at higher education and employment, and conducting a medical camp. Rosary processions were organised with attendances of 100 to 2,000.
Karnataka Senatus
Minutes to March. One comitium visited 11,428 Catholic homes. Attached councils are regularly visited, members are invited to be correspondents.
Mumbai Senatus
Recruitment features in all areas, several new praesidia have started. Training sessions are dynamic and happy events. The Spiritual Director had to instruct the cessation of visits to homes of other faiths until further notice as an anti-conversion bill is under consideration in the State parliament. A junior praesidium has been set up in Kathmandu, Nepal. In Delhi 4 children were baptised to enable 2 couples to have their marriages rectified. In Calcutta distant curiae are proving resilient in spite of transport difficulties and political instability. A new Government in Bangladesh
re-opens the possibility of a Legion visit to that country. Legionaries in Mumbai visit transgender persons with food rations provided by an NGO. Inter-faith spouses are visited by a Tamil comitium. In Goa legionaries visit the slum areas and orphaned children are brought to Mass remembering their parents’ wishes.
AFRICA C
BENIN
Cotonou Regia:
February minutes received. The aim for 2026 is to install 2 new comitia, one in the Diocese of Kandi and 1 in the Diocese of N’Dali as well as the visit to Gabon. They also want to print the tessera in the various local languages. The comitia from Gabon report on a regular basis to the regia. The visit from the Benin officers to Gabon has taken place and we are awaiting their report. They also requested the latest version of the handbook from Togo.
CAMEROON
Douala Senatus:
January 2026 minutes received. The annual audit of the senatus was done. The diocesan chaplain for the lay apostolate gave the legionaries advice on their visit in February to the prisons. On January 30 and 31 a national congress was held by the Senatus of Cameroon while in December 2025 a general gathering of apostolic lay associations was organised to teach other groups to work together rather than operating alone. Regia Yaoundé also mentioned 76 new probationers, 4 new praesidia in different parishes and a new junior praesidium with 25 members, which brings to around 400 members in the junior curia. Bamenda Comitium organised Exploratio Dominicalis projects.
No report on TCHAD.
CONGO
Senatus, Brazzaville:
This report covers July and August 2025. No other minutes received since last August. We had a Zoom meeting with Fr. Ginse spiritual director and Br. Jean Claude, president of the senatus. The main aim of the meeting was to try and get the communication going again. Jean Claude apologised for the lack of communication due to his health issues. We advised him that he should name someone to do the corresponding that it shouldn’t have to fall on him. He promised to try and get the minutes out to us every month. The report from July 2025 shows the wonderful work of evangelisation continuing. One comitium contacted over 13,000 people among these over 2,000 people were from other new religious movements. These contacts bore many good fruits: 35 people for example who subscribed to catechism classes, 25 couples who were reconciled, 16 Catholics brought back to the sacraments and 49 who asked for confession and Communion at home. Many rosaries and miraculous medals were distributed to these people. The minutes of the meeting in August gave a report of a curia which covered the work of 4 praesidia over a 3-month period; again, many of the contacts were belonging to new religious movements. 75 members of this curia attended a retreat given by Fr Ginse. The second report of these minutes was given by a regia. It was the work of 2 praesidia over 2 months. The number of people contacted was well over 7,000 among these 259 were Muslims, 1,268 were pagans they also made many visits to the sick: 77 people in hospital and 282 people sick at home!

April minutes received. The 2025 audit was done. A good number of congresses were organised by various councils and numerous new praesidia were established. The works include home, hospital and prison visitation, organising week-ends of evangelisation, several mentions of the book barrow, catechesis classes and numerous conversions. Exploratio Dominicalis projects undertaken and a PPC project in August. The comitium in the Diocese of D’Aneho, 4 new curiae and 2 new praesidia are in progress of being started and 3 new curiae and a comitium in the Diocese of Dapaong and in the Diocese of Sokode 3 new curiae are envisaged. The regia of Kara hopes to establish 3 new curiae. The election of vice president was moved to a later date at the request of the spiritual director, but it didn’t specify which council.

Comitium Pikine started a new curia with 4 praesidia and another one being considered. Home, hospital and prison visitation undertaken as well as crowd contact and catechesis classes.
GUINEA

IVORY COAST
Minutes received up to March. An interesting fact to report is that thanks to the daily recitation and meditation of the rosary and the regular attendance to the legion meetings for some time, the grandson of a legionary whose father originally opposed his wish to become a priest finally received his father's approval. The young boy has now happily joined the seminary. Street contact is one of the main legionary works. This is done in hospitals, beauty salons, sewing workshops, restaurants, schools, markets, garages and parishes. Other works to report are: visits to elderly, priests, nuns, orphanages and centres for disabled people. Also, work undertaken comprises the maintenance of churches, cemeteries, literacy programs in parishes and broadcasting at the national radio station.
BURKINA FASO
Comitium Notre Dame de Yagma de Ouagadougou.
The report consisted of 23 pages setting out the organisation and the legion work being done in Burkina Faso in the period 2024 to 2025. It should be noted that the Comitium of Ouagadougou has been raised to the status of Regia. The setting up of the regia in Ouagadougou is continuing and will be in place soon. This will help with unifying the country under one council, a regia. In the report from Burkina Faso, they mention a large number of comitia. The report indicates that the Legion of Mary is flourishing in the diocese and the three archdiocese in Burkina Faso. Last year a 3-day conference was organised in the Diocese of Fada N’Gourma. A total of 13 legionary officers and 110 representative legionaries of the various comitia attended. Plans: Designing 75 years anniversary logo, designing tee shirts, organising competitions on knowledge of the handbook and inviting neighbours to events. Decorating various centres of the legion with jubilee messages. One of the difficulties is the printing of the handbook in the different languages, in Moore, in the case of Ouagadougou. Another difficulty is illiteracy among many members. In Ouagadougou Comitia alone, there are 32 curiae, 225 presidia giving 7625 active members.
