By bringing us close to her Son, she brings us close to joy, and causes our joy. Here we see that the title Cause of our Joy implies the title Mediatrix.
The Greek words for ‘joy’ and ‘grace’ are almost the same: chara and charis. As Mary mediates all grace, she causes every joy.
