DUBLIN SOUTHSIDE
Mater Ecclesiae Curia
“The Centenary of the First Saturday devotions” was the topic at the recent Patrician meeting which was well- attended. A recent Curia reunion had over thirty (30) in attendance. It was a lovely social evening. Recruiting is carried out through street contact in both Bray and Dún Laoghaire on Saturday mornings and recruitment through personal contacts is ongoing. Due to retirements, the work of the Newcastle praesidium including visitation work will be taken over by another praesidium in the pastoral area. A monthly prayer meeting for young mothers that was started by the Newcastle praesidium will be taken over the by the parish – a great example of the trail-blazing work of the Legion of Mary. Praesidia in the Curia area continue the long tradition of supporting cribs in three (3) busy shopping centres by arranging for ecumenical blessings of the cribs and by providing Legion of Mary crib prayer leaflets which are taken home by families when they visit the cribs. A Holy Hour with prayers for the cause of now servant of God Frank Duff in St. Joseph’s Church, Glasthule and a Holy Hour with prayers for the cause of now Venerable Edel Quinn are prayed every second Thursday in Chapel at Divine Master Centre, White’s Cross, Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

Assumpta Curia
Curia reunion is planned for December. A praesidium distributed seventy- five (75) Maria Legionis journals. Street contact is carried out weekly by two (2) praesidia.

Gloriosa Curia
Curia organised a Rosary procession during October, which processed to the three (3) churches in Ballyfermot. Monthly Curia outreach take place in the Inchicore area. Book barrow forms part of this outreach. Many contacts are made and people are invited to take up auxiliary membership. A praesidium, based at Radio Maria, with four (4) active members and five (5) probationary members presented its first annual report. Members visit The Red Cow Hotel with the Pilgrim Statue, where they invite residents to visit the radio station and chapel. Three (3) probationaries and one full member, all from Nigeria, have been gained through this outreach. The Pilgrim Statue is passed to different families to pray the Rosary. Residents are invited to become auxiliary members and to attend the Patricians. Miraculous Medals are offered and contacts are encouraged to attend Mass and Confession. One lady was preparing her father’s wake when she accepted a Miraculous Medal and said that she would place it in her father’s coffin. Some non-Christians and Orthodox Christians have happily accepted the Miraculous Medal too. Recent Patricians titles include “Has Devotion to the Sacred Heart disappeared in Ireland?”, “Angels, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly” and “Make Friends with the Holy Souls.” A total of nine (9) meetings have been held with attendance of up to eleven (11) people with one or two (2) non-legionaries present.

Immaculata Curia
Congress held in October had sixty (60) in attendance. Curia conducted Christmas Outreach at Citywest Shopping Centre in December and a recruiting initiative entitled “Come Home for Christmas” in November. The Annual reunion was at the Monto on 13th December. The titles of the last two recent Patricians were “The Miracle of the Sun” and “The Fruits of the Eucharist” and these were attended by (10) people, including a few legionaries. A praesidium with three (3) full members, four (4) probationaries and twenty- five (25) auxiliaries presented its annual report. Works include leading the Rosary in various outdoor locations, home visitation, street contact and school visitation to First Communion and Confirmation classes.

Benedicta Curia
Home visitation continues in Drimnagh. Miraculous Medals are distributed and explained, Legion literature and journals are offered as well as Jubilee 2025 leaflets. All contacts are encouraged in their faith. Members of a praesidium participate in an outdoor rosary at Rialto and when possible, carry out home visitation in the local flats. Hospital patients are visited by two (2) members who also pray the rosary at Ceannfort, Kilmainham and engage in street contact work. The new praesidium does street contact outside Benedicta House distributing Miraculous Medals and leaflets and inviting people to join the Legion of Mary. The junior praesidium promotes the Legion of Mary among their peers, and members explain and distribute Miraculous Medals, and encourage their friends to join. Each praesidium recruits on a weekly basis and twenty-five (25) recruiting efforts were made in November. The banner of servant of God Frank Duff is placed in the garden at the front of Benedicta House where it attracts a lot of interest.

Ancilla Domini Curia
The Patricians Meeting was held recently in the Carmelite Centre, Whitefriars Street. The title was “Purgatory and the Holy Souls”. The title of the January Patricians is “Using the WEB 4 God”. There was a good attendance at the Curia Annual Reunion which was held in Myra House. The junior praesidium is functioning well. They had a Christmas Outing recently. Street contact is carried out in Temple Bar on Saturdays. Miraculous Medals are distributed to those met and a public rosary is recited to conclude the work. All praesidia are asked to have recruitment on their weekly agenda and to give an account of their efforts during the week. A recruiting drive is planned for Meath Street in January.

Annunciata Curia
A praesidium with ten (10) active members, eight (8) auxiliaries, and sixteen (16) adjutorians distributes twenty- eight (28) Maria Legionis journals quarterly. Works include apostolate to women caught up in prostitution and addiction, street contact, home visitation, visits to gay bars and lap dancing clubs. Over the years the main work of the praesidium has changed as the women are rarely met on the streets. There are approximately thirty- three (33) women being visited and legionaries always receive a warm welcome. The problems they face have remained the same over the years and include addiction, social problems, and homelessness. Miraculous Medals, Holy Water, Spiritual Reading Material, and the Joy of Confession Leaflet are offered, and legionaries encourage the women to return to Mass and the sacraments, explaining to them the benefits of receiving the Eucharist. The annual retreat for the women resumed this year after several years. It was attended by five (5) women, along with three (3) members of the same family. All but one attended Confession. Street contact is carried out in the former red-light areas. Some good contacts with people of different nationalities and religions have been made. Blessed Miraculous Medals with the explanatory leaflet are always offered and the Medal is explained. The praesidium contact card is given to those who show an interest in joining or to anyone who might like to make further contact. Recently two (2) legionaries went to a gay bar, where they spoke briefly with a Brazilian man, before they were asked to leave by security. Contact was made outside the pub, with the security men who were delighted to receive the Miraculous Medal and the times of Mass in Portuguese. Legionaries have also visited another gay bar and a lap dancing club, both in the city centre.

IRELAND PROVINCIAL
Cloyne Curia
There are four (4) praesidia attached. The praesidium at Cobh- which currently has quite a low number of members- carries out contact work around the Cathedral where they meet many tourists, and encouraging them to enter the Cathedral. They distribute Miraculous Medals and leaflets.

East Cloyne Curia
There are six (6) praesidia attached with excellent attendance. Our Lady, Mother of the Church praesidium in Fermoy has seventeen (17) active members on roll, three (3) of whom have taken their Legion Promise. Works include Fatima Pilgrim Statue, nursing home and psychiatric home visitation. One hundred and fifty (150) First Communion & Confirmation packs were distributed containing, along with Legion literature, Miraculous Medals and the times of Masses & Confession. Visits to rural homes are much appreciated. Fifteen (15) copies of Maria Legionis are ordered quarterly.

East Clare Curia
There are three (3) praesidia attached. Attendance is good and despite difficulty recruiting, the evangelising spirit is strong. Ennis reports having ten (10) members. All carry out three (3) hours home visitation on three (3) Saturdays per month. The auxiliary roll has grown a lot and some members have gone on Peregrinatio Pro Christo (PPC) and Maria et Patria (MEP) projects.

Birr- Roscrea Curia
There are five (5) praesidia, two (2) of which have received help due to low membership levels. The parish priest in Nenagh has expressed interest in the Legion of Mary. Plans for a Congress require more preparation. An increase in attendance levels at the Knock Pilgrimage and two (2) Patrician meetings was noted. Curia organised for celebration of Mass for deceased legionaries. Our Lady of Good Counsel praesidium, Moneygall has five (5) active members and twenty (20) auxiliaries. Works include assisting with the organising and carrying out of various works in the parish including organising Benediction in homes with the Marian Movement of Priests, choir, outdoor Stations of the Cross, prayer in the cemetery and preparation for Legion of Mary events. Nursing home visitation, dinner deliveries and visitation with Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima feature prominently.

Waterford Curia
There are four (4) praesidia attached with members of another praesidium composed of five (5) members due to take their Legion promise. Star of the Sea praesidium in Tramore with eight (8) members carry out home visitation, enrolled seventy (70) in the Brown Scapular and had Sacred Heart Enthronement in two (2) housing estates. Mother of God’s People praesidium in Waterford with six (6) members had well attended talks on now servants of God Frank Duff and Fr. Willie Doyle. They pray public Rosary in the city on Saturdays.

Lismore Curia
Curia currently has a low number of praesidia. The monthly Curia meeting is alternated between Dungarvan and Lismore. The bus booked for the pilgrimage to Knock on September 28 was full, while twenty- two (22) attended the Curia Retreat. Mass for deceased members of the Legion of Mary was celebrated in November.

Kerry Comitium
Nineteen (19) attended the October Comitium Meeting. Legionaries and transition year students from two (2) schools carried out hospital visitation each Wednesday in September. Thirty (30) volunteers helped with a Faith Camp- in Killarney in July- at which daily Mass was celebrated, and study of the lives of Saints, and sports and games were incorporated. Forty- two (42) were recruited as altar servers. In Glenflesk, visitation with the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima is carried out, and praying of Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet at grottos and cemeteries are organised. In Caherciveen four (4) members assist with preparation and organise in many ways in the church, including for major liturgical Masses throughout the year and inviting Polish and Ukrainian community to assist and participate.

Cork Comitium
Our Lady of Perpetual Succour praesidium celebrating their ninety- eighth (98th) year, engaged in street contact, First Saturday Devotions, staying in touch with fifty (50) auxiliaries and assisting the parish priest. Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception praesidium gained three (3) new auxiliaries on the bus to the Legion of Mary Pilgrimage in September. They support the parish priest with parish activities and engage in street contact especially during Heritage week, the Jazz Festival and religious holy days. Men’s Rosaries are held on Grand Parade and Sprigg’s Road. On Culture Night the public were invited into the Legion of Mary Headquarters for tea and chat which enticed one man to return to Mass. Our Lady of Good Counsel praesidium in Bandon, a very active praesidium with many more senior members for many years carry out home visitation. It has been decided, with reluctance, that two (2) ongoing grotto Rosaries are to close due to poor health and difficulty with travelling.

Limerick Curia
Our Lady of Mount Carmel praesidium near University of Limerick had two (2) Patrician Meetings, discussing “The Immaculate Conception” and “Catholicism versus Secularism”. The meetings attracted parishioners, auxiliaries and students who contributed well. Home visitation and street contact and hospital visitation are their other works. Our Lady Help of Christians praesidium in the city centre, rebuilding recently, has a new Spiritual Director and has increased in membership after recruitment drives at Masses celebrated in Spanish and Portuguese languages. New members are being trained for Legion of Mary works and participate in city centre public Rosaries at Our Lady’s Statue. Most members of both praesidia enjoyed an end of year party commencing with Mass concelebrated by the two (2) Spiritual Directors. Much of the food was homemade.

Thurles Comitium
Reports to November show improved attendance at meetings. Our Lady of Prompt Help praesidium, Thurles is active for fifty- seven (57) years now. With four (4) members and Spiritual Director they have sixty (60) auxiliaries. They carry out nursing home visits and home visits, recruiting with two Pilgrim Statues. Our Lady of Perpetual Succour praesidium, Templetuohy carry out Pilgrim Statue visitation, pray the Rosary before Mass and at the Grotto, and visit nursing homes and a hospital. They helped with a First Communion Class and an Evangelisation Day in Thurles. Eucharistic Adoration for children is promoted and Miraculous Medals are distributed in schools. The praesidium in Cashel carries out a range of works and instructed two (2) Lithuanians who were received into the Catholic Church. Their Frank Duff Prayer Group averages thirteen (13) attendees. The praesidium in Clonmel praesidium is busy with street contact and the book barrow and offer house and family blessings by Fr. Paul. Tipperary Curia hopes to start a praesidium in Oola. The praesidium in Galbally visited four (4) primary schools. The praesidium in Pallasgreen promotes the Legion of Mary at shows and festivals. Evangelisation work was done at two (2) supermarkets in Tipperary town with the third due for the same in December. Recruiting drives were held in Holycross while Cashel were to do extension in Cahir and Carrick. The establishment of a new praesidium in Two-Mile-Borris is a target for 2026. Seventy (70) people went on the Legion of Mary Pilgrimage to Knock Eucharistic and Marian Shrine, and one member attended the Jubilee of Youth in Rome. Fifty (50) attended the Annual Reunion.

Ross Curia
Bringing Holy Communion to homes and visitation of hospitals and nursing homes with praying of the Rosary form part of work done. A door-to- door campaign was held promoting Mass times and distributing Miraculous Medals and Catholic literature and Legion of Mary literature in a new residential estate. Emigrants are sent the newsletter four (4) times a year. The Rosary is prayed before Mass and at grottos throughout the year. Members organised in preparation for Cemetery Sunday Mass where deceased members were remembered in prayer.

EUROPE
SPAIN
Madrid Senatus
Many Councils have extension high on their list of plans for 2026. The praesidium of an active member who has had to return home to Latin America is helping her to find a praesidium there or to start a praesidium in her parish. Follow- up is being carried out on people who came to one praesidium at Senatus but did not return. A praesidium is adapting a meeting time to attract new members. It was suggested to them that they consider what some other legionaries have done 1) a praesidium attends Mass and Legion of Mary meeting and carry out Legion of Mary work on Sunday 2) a city centre praesidium meets and carries out Legion of Mary work at midday break from office work. Meetings with immigrants helping them to adapt, learn the language and get involved as active legionaries. Crowd contact is carried out on university campus where students are invited to visit the Blessed Sacrament. Many Spanish students took part in the recent Peregrinatio Pro Christo (PPC) project in Lisbon.

Bilbao Senatus
On 30th October 2025 members gathered to celebrate seventy- five (75) years of the Legion of Mary in northern Spain, with the celebration of Mass and a social event afterwards. In November and December, the election of officers took place for president, vice-president and secretary, and the election of a new treasurer is to take place in January. Two (2) praesidia closed down in the period, one in Logroño due to need of members, the other in Bilbao City due to the filling of officership positions. A general report on attached praesidia at the August Senatus meeting had many gaps; the correspondent requested that future surveys not be done when some praesidia stop functioning in the summer due to holidays and church closures. León Curia reported a strong body of auxiliary and adjutorian members. Active members visit the prison, and impart Catechism to the children and adults. They were requested at the Senatus meeting to carry out extension and recruiting. A praesidium in Barakaldo, a suburb of Bilbao distributes the Miraculous Medal, and directs the parish Bible group.

ITALY
Rome Senatus
The Spiritual Director Monsignor Giuseppe in his October Allocutio to the Senatus meeting emphasised the value of the Rosary, emphasising that it constitutes a continuous memory of the Redemption, a memory shared by our Blessed Mother. The Morning Star Curia, with a low number of praesidia of Nigerian legionaries, has been attached to Rimini Comitium. This will be positive for the growth and strength of the Curia. An attached praesidium reported difficulty finding Legion of Mary work. It has been suggested to them to consider street contact among new works.

PORTUGAL
Lisbon Senatus
A number of new praesidia have been established at Senatus. The Senatus organised a Columban Drive on 18th and 19th October at the Jerónimos Monastery. A meeting about extension was held by Senatus since the last report. Many attached Councils including Braga Comitium, attended by fifteen (15) legionaries, also carried out extension work. Porto Regia held a Congress with fifty (50) in attendance. Coimbra Regia has legionaries who volunteer at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima where they assist with welcoming pilgrims. The Regia also organised a Peregrinatio Pro Christo (PPC) in Coimbra, with legionaries from Portugal, Angola, Brazil, Malaysia and Spain taking part. Many contacts were made in the streets, churches and the university, with the distribution of Miraculous Medals and invitations to join the Legion of Mary. A visible fruit of this work was the establishment of a new praesidium in Santa Cruz parish. The existing praesidium in St. Joseph’s Parish gained new members and the foundation of another praesidium in a further parish is expected.

MALTA
Malta Regia
The Regia celebrated its one thousandth (1,000th) Regia meeting in September with the celebration of Mass before the meeting. Two (2) members of a praesidium carried out street contact- organised by the Regia- in Valetta. A praesidium prepares children for First Holy Communion and First Confession once weekly. The legionaries also attend Mass with the children. Family visits are undertaken during summer months by members of a praesidium. Three (3) Peregrinatio Pro Christo (PPC) projects were organised this year in Birmingham, Rome and Sicily. In Birmingham, from 4th – 14th July eight (8) members and a Spiritual Director carried out work in St. Jude’s Parish led by Fr. John Peyton, parish priest. They knocked on one hundred (100) doors and spoke to three hundred (300) persons. Street contact was carried out, and a Columban drive was held. Among sixteen (16) follow up cases was a single mother with her children, along with another adult wanted to be baptised. From 30th July – 9th August another PPC project with twenty (20) legionaries was held in Lourdes, including two priests and a deacon. A practising Indian family enjoyed sharing their home experiences. A ninety- six (96) year-old lady showed her delight on hearing of the work of the Legion of Mary, and accepted a Miraculous Medal which she wore around her neck helped by her daughter. Legionaries also met an American who displayed great enthusiasm about Pope Leo XIV, who had been his neighbour in the United States. The PPC project in Rome was carried out by eight (8) legionaries including a priest. They knocked on two hundred and forty- five (245) doors leaving leaflets regarding Mass and the Rosary at homes where no response was received at the door. Those who received the legionaries spoke about the Mass and the Rosary and gave them Miraculous Medals. A Columban Drive was held after the family Mass on Sunday at which forty (40) Miraculous Medals were distributed. Gozo Comitium organised a successful week-long Maria et Patricia (MEP) project in Santa Lucija.

Countries under the care of Malta Regia
LIBYA
A visit to the praesidium in Libya has been put on hold, and has been recommended to reschedule by the Bishop of Tripoli. The praesidium has twenty (20) members and meets weekly. Istanbul Curia: The Curia has a junior praesidium with two seniors assisting. Contact is kept with parents whose children do not want to attend Mass on Sundays. Two (2) legionaries from Malta visited Turkey. There is a praesidium in Ankara with sixteen (16) members. Istanbul has a praesidium of nine (9) members and it is doing well.

GREECE
A praesidium in Thessaloniki has four (4) members. They assist the praesidium in Agapit. Members visit a woman with daughter who is paralysed and bring Holy Communion to them. They distribute Miraculous Medals to children preparing for reception of the sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation. The praesidium in Giannitsa holds its meeting in Albanian since all the members are from Albania. There is difficulty meeting during the summer as most of them travel home. The praesidium in Rhodes has four (4) members.

CYPRUS
The Legion of Mary in Cyprus celebrated its thirty- fourth (34th) anniversary in Nicosia on 26th October 2025. Legionaries from Limassol and members from the new praesidium in Larnaca, entitled Our Lady of Grace praesidium joined for the celebrations. The local Terra Santa nursing home is to be visited on 20th December 2025 to pray with the residents and sing carols. A lady who stepped away from the Legion of Mary during covid has contacted the correspondent with a view to prepare properly to return as an active member.

WEST INDIES
Haiti Senatus
There are six thousand and seventy- five (6,075) active members at present. Three (3) Comitia, having a total of one thousand and four hundred (1,400) active members and a praesidium of nineteen (19) reported this quarter. Recruiting is ongoing and two (2) new praesidia were started in one Comitium. Among other works, are an apostolate to lapsed Catholics, protestants, homebound and grieving families, works of service and catechesis.

Trinidad and Tobago Regia
Attendance averages at eighteen (18) members (50%) from its four (4) nearby praesidia and five (5) nearby Curiae. Visitation of praesidia and some Curiae was done in 2025. Extension has resulted in two (2) new distant praesidia with ten (10) and seventeen (17) new members. In September, Regia held an online meeting with officers from Barbados, Grenada, Antigua, Dominica and Guyana. Regia led a junior Peregrinatio Pro Christo (PPC) to Grenada in August.

USA
Philadelphia Senatus
Average attendance was seventy percent (70%). The English and Spanish versions of Maria Legionis are being printed. Reports highlight book barrow apostolate is being carried out on streets and in a church annex. Recruiting has resulted in visitors coming to Legion of Mary meetings. Juniors are starting. One junior group brings Our Lady’s Statue into classrooms for grades 3-6.

Los Angeles Senatus
Average attendance at meetings was seventy percent (70%). Congresses appear in every Council report. Juniors are making a comeback. Extension always features in the minutes. One Curia recently reported having twenty- three (23) senior praesidia, seventy-three (73) praetorians, five (5) junior praesidia and twelve (12) Patricians groups. The average attendance at Curia was eighty- three (83%). Eight (8) Frank Duff prayer groups featured also. One praesidium mentioned carrying out apostolate to homeless people.

Arlington Senatus
Average attendance of meetings is seventy- three (73%). Thirteen (13) members carried out a Maria et Patria (MEP) type project in Nashville, staying with Nashville legionaries who joined them in the door-to-door visitation. They also had an extension weekend in Kentucky. They recruited twenty- five (25) active legionaries and have opened an English and Spanish speaking praesidium. A legionary couple has legally gifted sixty- six point two (66.2) acres of land to the Legion of Mary through a Deed of Gift. Plans are to erect a barn-like structure for use by the Legion of Mary.

St. Louis Senatus
All officerships are now full. Of the total nineteen (19) attached praesidia attached, only eight (8) are nearby to attend Senatus. Of the thirteen (13) attached Councils, only two can attend the Senatus. As a result, the core membership is small and just four (4) correspondents deal with this sizeable correspondence. Legion of Mary banners were made and are used in churches and on their works. There was no mention of extension, recruiting or Congresses.

San Francisco Senatus
Attendance averaged at sixty- five percent (65%) for twelve (12) directly attached praesidia. Also attached are six (6) Curiae and seven (7) Comitia. They are (11) correspondents. The average membership of the four (4) praesidia reporting was six (6) active members. Senatus organised a well- attended gathering that had the theme, “Mary Mother of Hope”, was based on the Encyclical “Hope does not disappoint”. Five (5) Spiritual Directors attended. Presentations were available in English, Korean and Spanish.

Houston Senatus
The Bishop of Victoria and the Auxiliary Bishop of Brownsville attended an event held on Saturday 11th October. A praesidium held an Exploratio Dominicalis, during which many homeless people were contacted, in downtown Dallas. Other highlights were hosting a Catholic Information Table at the East Texas State and making six hundred (600) contacts at the Pasadena Strawberry Festival. The new praesidium in Belize City has eleven (11) active members including probationary member and twelve (12) auxiliary members.

Chicago Senatus
A praesidium staffed a booth at a county fair. The junior praesidium engages in a variety of works. They serve at Mass as altar servers, attend Eucharistic Adoration, and study Catechism. At Sioux Falls Curia, a praesidium had a literature table at Taste of Goodness event. Detroit Regia reported on crowd contact and booths at state fairs and Irish festivals. The Joliet Spanish- speaking Curia organised its first Marian Congress with two hundred and fifty (250) people attending in addition to four (4) priests. In Minnesota, praesidium co-ordinate a weekly Rosary with the inmates in the Stillwater Prison.

Boston Senatus
A comprehensive 2024 annual report was submitted to the Archbishop. This showed one thousand, two hundred and fifty- one (1,251) active members and two thousand, six hundred and eighty- five (2,685) auxiliaries. They are seven (7) local praesidia, three (3) distant praesidia, ten (10) Curiae and three (3) Comitia. Monthly attendance shows twenty to twenty-five (20 -25) members present. A long-term vacancy for vice president still exists. A praesidium helped ten (10) people in preparation for reception of the sacrament of Baptism. In New Haven, legionaries contacted hundreds of people at the annual oyster festival. A praesidium in Harford Comitium started a “street evangelisation table” in Winsted.

New York Senatus
There are four (4) directly-attached praesidia. Seven (7) nearby Curiae and six (6) Comitia also send two (2) officers each to Senatus so attendance is usually thirty- seven (37) members. Senatus has re-established its charity status. Its praesidia and Councils were encouraged to complete 2025 audits too. A local praesidium of ten (10) members reported Pilgrim Statue visitation, book barrow apostolate, Exploratio Dominicalis, promotion of True Devotion to Mary (TDM) and a Public Rosary at Grand Central Station. Reports were also taken from a Korean- speaking Curia, a Korean- speaking Comitium and Buffalo Comitium.

Miami Regia
Average attendance was fifty- two percent (52%) by nine (9) attached praesidia and fifty percent (50%) by five (5) nearby Curiae. The four (4) praesidia reporting had an average of nine (9) active members doing a range of works including visitation of elderly, Pilgrim Virgin Statue Visitation, and Enthronement of homes to the Sacred Heart. Two recruiting drives were undertaken. Of the eighteen (18) Councils reporting, nine (9) highlighted extension efforts being made. A plea was made for new Regia correspondents to step up. Regia visited Curiae in Jamaica, The Bahamas and Atlanta.

CANADA
Toronto Senatus
The 2025 census shows one thousand, eight hundred and thirty- eight (1,838) active members plus two hundred and twenty- five (225) on probation and eight thousand and seventy- five (8,075) auxiliary members. There are seven (7) local praesidia, four (4) distant praesidia and twelve (12) attached Councils. Average attendance by local praesidia was fifty-seven per cent (57%). A team of eight (8) carried out a weeklong Senatus visitation to New Brunswick Curia providing officer training and a parish census with the assistance of two local legionaries. About twenty percent (20%) of contacts were practising Catholics. They also visited the praesidium on Prince Edward Island. Newfoundland Curia, with 4 attached praesidia, is gaining members. Archbishop Hundt gave the talk at their Jubilee Pilgrimage.

Vancouver Comitium
The 2025 Census shows nine hundred and ninety- four (994) active members and two thousand, six hundred and sixty- four (2,664) auxiliaries. Post-Congress, improved efficiency and participation was noted in one Curia. Two members from each praesidia will update Comitium monthly on recruiting efforts aimed to help weaker praesidia. Due to the Concilium visit, Korean translation was provided at some Comitium meetings.

Montreal Senatus
Work is still being carried out on the financial audit of 2024. Elections for president, vice-president and treasurer are scheduled. Quebec Comitium closed post covid and Sherbrooke Curia has has very much reduced in size. There are two ongoing extension efforts. A pilgrimage was organised to mark the Jubilee Year.

Edmonton Comitium
Average attendance at meetings was thirty per cent (30%) from eight (8) attached praesidia. A praesidium of twelve (12) active members has sixty- five (65) auxiliaries. They conduct a weekly lay liturgy in nine (9) senior homes, bringing Holy Communion to one hundred and fifty (150) people there. The two (2) English- speaking Curiae in Calgary were visited.

Some Handbook Reflections
EXTENSION OF THE LEGION (p. 28-29).
The Handbook states that the extension of the Legion forms an important part of the work of a Curia. (See Legion Handbook, Government of the Legion).
As a help towards undertaking systematic extension it is suggested that Curiae might:
1. Enlist the prayers of both active and auxiliary legionaries and others for this intention;
2. List the Parishes in their area where the Legion is not yet established;
3. Each month appoint two legionaries to visit the Parish Priest of at least one of these Parishes;
4. Having obtained permission from the Parish Priest, send in a team of legionaries to help with the establishment of a Praesidium;
5. Give the Extension team guidelines such as the following for carrying out this work: -
(a) Contact people after Masses with invitations to a first meeting:
(b) Visit those who give their names;
(c) Hold first meeting with specific duties for the members of the team:
(d) Give special attention to Allocation of Work. A variety of works should be offered. The second meeting should be set for the following week on a day suitable to most people present;
(e) Members of the Extension team should work with the new legionaries, in this way training them in the apostolate and imbuing them with the spirit of the Legion;
(f) Acting Officers should be selected as soon as possible and clearly briefed on their duties and made aware of the grace of office;
NOTE: The new Praesidium having been affiliated, it is vital that the Curia maintain contact with it.
