The Church is the Mystical Body of Christ. It is “the universal sacrament of salvation” (Lumen Gentium, 48). Salvation comes to us from Christ through the Church.

“No one can have God as Father who does not have the Church as Mother” (St Cyprian: De Unit. 6: PL 4, 519). The Church, with her divine and human elements, is an object of faith.

In the Credo we profess that we believe the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
