In fact, if joy comes from salvation, from closeness to God and the experience of grace, then no mere human being has ever rejoiced more than Mary. ‘Rejoice, full of grace, the Lord is with you.’ (Lk 1:28)

No one was ever full of grace like Mary, since only she was immaculately conceived; and no one was ever closer to God than she who bore the Son of God in her womb.
